VIDA Yoga & Fitness Participant Behavior Commitment

Dress Code & What to Bring to Class: For all H.I.T.T. classes please wear athletic shoes, and athletic clothing, water and a hand towel. For YOGA, fitted athletic clothing like leggings, shorts with built in support, sports bras and tanks are recommended. Please do not wear shoes in the HOT room. Also bring a yoga mat (VY&F rental mats are available for $3 if you do not have your own). Athletic clothing and grip socks are recommended for BARRE. Barre socks can be purchased at VY&F reception desk.

Cell Phone Use: VY&F understands that there are special circumstances that make cell phones in the hot room necessary. Health care providers and other professionals actively “on-call” for professional services, participants needing to be accessible for young children or dependents are two examples of how lack of accessibility to cell phone can make yoga class prohibitive. VY&F does not restrict participants and members from bringing cell phones and pagers into classes. However, VY&F requests that all conversations on phones be outside the classroom in order to not disturb the experience of others.

Late Arrival to Class: VY&F understand that participants and members have full, busy lives outside the studio. Please feel free to come into class after class has started. Please show discretion and respect for the teacher and other participants by minimizing the distraction and preventing a disturbance. No refunds (partial or full) will be given for those attending late classes.

Canceled Classes: On rare occasions a class may be canceled. Notification of canceled class will be sent to participants signed-up for that class by email. Class cancelation notification will also be sent by push notification. We recommend that all participants and members have the free VIDA app (available for free download through the app store) in order to receive current communication about VIDA. Please keep an updated email and phone number on your VY&F account as well.

Respect for Savasana: If you need to leave early, leave before the last 5 minutes of class. Do not leave during Savasana.

Interaction/Cross Talk in Class: It is never appropriate to carry on your own personal conversation during yoga class. It can wait. Don’t negatively affect the experience of others by casual conversation during class.

Inappropriate or Lewd Behavior: Not tolerated. You will be asked to leave without refund.

VY&F Class Etiquette
