Yoga Alliance standards require that all yoga teacher training programs provide information on the history and philosophy of yoga. However, many graduates of yoga teacher training programs lack the necessary skills to cue and sequence a yoga class. VIDA Yoga Teacher Trainers, Jen Eddins and Ashley Davis, require that graduates master the skill of sequencing and cuing a yoga class. Graduates of VIDA’s 200-hour RYT Training Program will graduate with a skill-set that includes teaching formats for:
- Power yoga
- Yin/deep stretch yoga
- Beginner’s yoga meditation
This skillset will allow the graduate to go into any environment and share yoga with others in a wise, authentic, and safe manner, facilitating credibility and trust as yoga teacher. As well as learning the art and science of yoga, graduates of VIDA’s RYT program will understand and demonstrate the “how and why” of yoga asana cuing and sequencing that comes from VIDA’s extensive teachings on alignment, anatomy, yoga philosophy, and tradition. Truly understanding the “how and why” of yoga is imperative for establishing expert yoga teachers that are able to share yoga with others in a logical way.
As an additional benefit, the teacher trainers at VIDA understand that not all teacher trainees learn the same way or master teaching concepts at the same rate. For this reason, VIDA has implemented a mentorship program for recent graduates who wish to fine-tune teaching skills under the direction of an experienced RYT at VIDA. The mentorship program helps establish confidence for new graduates to gain experience as yoga teachers in a supportive, collaborative environment.
Our Teachers

Jen Eddins
Graduates of Jen’s teacher training programs speak to her skillfulness in presenting concepts of yoga philosophy, sequencing, cueing, assisting and classroom presence in ways that are engaging, relatable and easily applied. Jen is passionate about equipping her trainees with the tools that they need to reach their goals in yoga and in life.
Jen is the creator of the online fitness platform Fit Revolution, where she teaches on-demand yoga and strength classes. She has written two books that were published by Fair Winds Press, Ultimate Plank Fitness and The Complete Guide to Yoga Inversions and she also shares daily updates about food, fitness, yoga and life on her blog Peanut Butter Runner. Jen’s yoga practice of choice is power flow with roots in Ashtanga and a focus on strength.

Dr. Ashley Davis
Ashley’s academic endeavors combined with her 20-year career in health and fitness make her a unique asset to VIDA’s 200-hour RYT program. Under Ashley’s direction, students of VIDA’s 200-hour RYT program gain core knowledge and fundamental principles of anatomy and physiology that prepare them to teach yoga that is backed by science. Ashley utilizes anatomical models, case studies and relevant research as teaching adjuncts in the classroom. Current evidence-based research and anecdotal information are utilized to teach biomechanics, anatomical terminology, alignment and neuromuscular dynamics.
As an academic and a yoga teacher, Ashley is able to present anatomy and physiology in an interesting way with first-hand experience and knowledge.

Nathan Davis
As yoga studio owner, yoga teacher, and avid power yogi, Nate decided to pursue advanced yoga studies, receiving the 500-RYT designation through Shala Ananda Yoga School. He credits this recent experience on broadening his knowledge of traditional ashtanga practice. Students of Vida’s 200-hour RYT program will benefit from his deep knowledge and understanding of Vida’s unique power style and how to cue, sequence, and teach yoga to students.

Aubryn Street
Aubryn’s fitness and yoga training include Vida Hot Yoga’s 200-RYT program, Shala Ananda’s 300-RYT program, RADroller myofascial release training, and BarreAmped barre instructor training. Aubryn was instrumental in the creation of VIDA Kids Yoga, utilizing her education and experience as an elementary school educator to bring yoga to children in the region. She also serves on the Board of Community Collective, a non-for-profit organization that works to bring yoga to marginalized populations in the region. With her knowledge of education and yoga, Aubryn will serve as the VIDA Yoga Teacher Training Coordinator.
